My great grandmother was born in Baltimore in 1855 of German parents. Her father's name was George Leonard Gottert (1823-1894) who had come to Baltimore from Germany in the early 1840's. Her mother's name was Anna Catherine ____ (1826-1896) and her maiden name could be Schaffer, Groltz, or something else. Family tradition has it that Anna Catherine came to Baltimore with her two sisters and one of the sisters married a Dingle. The sister who married a Dingle had Louis and Mary Ann (born 1849 in Baltimore). Mary Ann moved west to Wisconsin and Michigan) and married a John Gottlieb Miller from Leipzig and the couple moved to Texas, eventually coming to Denison, Texas. I wondering if you have any information about the mother and father of Mary Ann Dingle born in Baltimore in 1849, especially of the siblings of the mother.
