I am seeking any information about FANNY DINGLE who gave birth to a son, Alfred, out of wedlock. Alfred was baptised at Great Milton, Oxfordshire, in Oct 1855. By the census of 1861 Alfred had taken his father's surname of NELMS and there was no mention of Fanny.
Alfred and his father, John Nelms, sailed to Australia in 1873.
