I have learned additional information about my father, James Edward Dingle. He was born in New York City at 236 West 10th Street on January 7, 1907. He died December 30, 1980 in Red Bank, New Jersey. He was married to Elizabeth Ann Kearns (b: December 8, 1905, Orange, NJ; died: October 17, 1976, Red Bank, NJ). They were married July 1944.
James Edward Dingle was the 12th child of his parents. The last five were born in NYC. His siblings that survived in the US were: Margaret (Margie, b:1896-1898); Elizabeth (Bess); Alice; Mary; Tommy (b: 1905 or 1906). His father was Patrick Dingle (b:1864) from Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland and his mother, Mary Ann Mathews (b: 1867), was from County Meath, Ireland.
I was told by my father, James Edward Dingle, that he had an uncle Christopher Dingle in Dublin, Ireland during 1940s who had been the Post Master General of Dublin, Ireland in the late 1930s and early 1940s (or possibly thee 1920s).
I would welcome any assistance with locating relatives of my family in Ireland, Canada and the US.
