I have been researching Logan County Dingess Families for about 25 years and if anyone needs any help in locating their Dingess relatives, I would like to help. My e-mail address is connieb@mountain.net.

My grandmother was Flora Jane Dingess Baisden (1893-1974), who was the daughter of David Crockett Dingess (1853-1925) and Mary Jane Baisden. David Crockett Dingess was the son of William Anderson Dingess (1806-1893) first child of a settler born in Logan Co. WV and Gertrude Smith. William Anderson Dingess was the son of Peter Dingess Jr. (1776-1849) and Sarah Farley. Peter Dingess Jr., one of the first settlers of Logan Co. VA was the son of Johan Peter Dingess (1738-1809) Revolutionary Soldier resided in present day Mercer Co. WV and Mary (Polly) Smith.
