Ruth Dingee was Charles Dingee's unmarried sister. She was b.in Washington Co. PA and in the 1850 living with her sister Martha in Clinton Co. OH
The term mou - married out of unity- means marrying a non Quaker for which a peson was condemmed or disowned i.e. kicked out.Sometimes the non-Quaker became one, the ex-Quaker/Friend repented and the Meeting took the couple back into membership.Usually not.
Sometimes a couple, both Quakers, was married by a minister, j.p. etc (out of Meeting). They were disowned for mcd, marrying contrary to discipline. They frequently repented and were reinstated.
Did you get the "Dingee Family Genealogy" by the Jandebeurs?Should answer all your questions about Charles' ancestry.
