I found something else about Quinton Dines that might interest you. He was involved in the purchase of two tracts of land in Ouchita Parish, Louisiana. One tract he purchased alone and the other tract he purchased with Jacob Peacow. Even though the land was in Ouchita Parish, the document referred to him as Quinton Dines of Claiborne Parish. This transaction took place in 1846. You can find this information at www.ancestry.com. Just go to the home page and type in Quinton Dines. Then after you see Louisiana land records, make sure you click on the image to read the original document.
