Dimmitt Family Genealogy Forum

Hello Jim. Thanks for the information. All my Dimmitt info came from my aunt, who gathered some of it from a book entitled "Hopkinson and Allied Families," by Laura Huffman, Aura M. and Alsey E. Hopkinson, published in 1965. I have not tracked down a copy yet. Your Beal looks like my Richard Beal. I did not know about his first wife.My ancestor Joseph Eveland apparently married two Dimmitt sisters: (1) Lucea Ellen Dimmitt, and, after she died married her sister (2) Evaline Jane Dimmitt. I will try and find June Dimmitt Houston's book - and maybe give her a call - I live close to Santa Rosa. If I strike out, I'll knock on your door again. By the way, who were the immigrants for Swan and for Dimmitt? Sorry I can't help with BERRY, but I do dearly love berry patches and will be on the lookout.
