Looking for the parents of Jacob Dimmitt, born ca. 1789 in Maryland. Married 1st Elizabeth in ca. 1815 and lived in Brooke Co., VA/WV. They had Andrew m. Sarah Murchland, Jemima m. Elias Johnson, Benjamin m. Sidney Lee, and George M. m. Eliza.(Geo. may not be a son of Jacob)
Elizabeth Dimmitt died ca. 1828-29.
Jacob married 2nd Sidney Buckey, 3 July 1830 in Brooke Co. Their children included John, Valentine, Pamelia m. James Lowe, Joseph, Mary A., David, and James.
Jacob died ca. 1883 and is buried in Franklin Cemetery in Fowlerstown, WV.
There was a George, William and Benejah Dement in Brooke Co. at the same time period as my Jacob. Is there anyone out there related to any of these people?
