In one of my postings I gave this information relating to William and Stacy (Walker) Dimmett:

William was a school teacher. He and his family relocated from North Carolina to Mason County, Kentucky, for a short time, where he taught school. This was sometime between 1840 and 1850.

I am not sure about the information, as it was given to me in a letter from a late researcher in Warrick County, Indiana. She was accurate in all of the other information that she gave me, but has since deceased and I can't ask where or how she got the information. I know that his son John B. Dimmett taught school in Estill County KY around the 1850 timeframe.

Does anyone have any information on William during that time between the 1840 census in Wilkes County, North Carolina and the 1850 census in Warrick County, Indiana???
Pat
