Kathleen, I was searching the WWW the other night and found Lonestar Genealogy. If you haven't visited there, perhaps you should. I found pension applications for Alamo A. Dimmitt and Texas Phillip Dimmitt. These are your ancestors (sons of Capt. P.T. Dimmitt of the Alamo). You can order these apps for about $2 each, by email, and they should supply you with an abundance of information. One of them and I can't recall was living in the San Antonio area at the time of his application. Have you thought to check the phone books in the south Texas area for Dimmitts. Just a thought.
