Yes it is irritating when you've seen the evidence with your own eyes! Hawkchurch, DORSET is right on the Dorset/Devon border and I wonder whether at some time it could have been in Devon. Could they have married twice on the same day? I know some of my Hansford family did - in Bridport and Loders and I've also found them going over the border to Axminster, Devon to have their children baptised in the Wesleyan chapel. It's a possibility.
