Hi Paula,
I belive that your ancestor and mine may be one and the same! My ancestor, John Diment was born approx 1796/7 and married Mary Ann Hill in 1823 at Combe St. Nicholas in Somerset and then had to my knowledge 12 children. He died in 1847 aged 50 in Combe St Nicholas (I have a copy of the certificate). I hail from his 7th son James born 1833 in Combe St Nicholas.
If you think we have a connection let me know, sounds very close. By the way I have his wife Mary as living until she was 83 and dying in 1884. I also have some details of other members of the family.
