Hi, I have just started to try to trace origin of my branch of family. I know they came from Bridport but do not know much more. I can update your William Ernest Diment, brother of Frederick. He married Edith Thorne and had Victor (known as Reginald), Dorothy and subsequently Arthur. William died 1934. Edith 1962, Reginald 1963, Dorothy 1993. Neither Reginald or Dorothy had issue. Arthur married Nancy Burrows in 1943 and had William John in 45 and Mary and Hilary in 48(Hilary died 48) John Married Kathie Porteus in 67 and had Philippa in 68 and Edward in 72. Edward married Susan Golding in 96 and have Harriet. Philippa and Wayne have Madeleine 2004.

The details of Frederick are a bit vague as he and his wife died before I was born and I was only aware of Margary
who I believe was his daughter (married a Whittaker who might have been killed in the war)She had two children Pat and Joan but I lost contact with them after 1967.

I would be grateful for a steer as to the antecedants of William Ernest. I remember as a small boy being taken to Bridport to visit relatives but I don't recall any Diments.

There was an Aunt Alice who I think lived at West Bay and there was a Family who had a daughter who I seem to recall was into golf!
