Portadown, Northern Ireland Dilworths

I am doing my Dilworth family genealogy and have a clear path back to 1850s in North Gower, Ontario (about 25 minutes south of Ottawa). This small villiage was populated by those who came from Portadown in Nortern, Ireland. I am specifically looking for the past of a Robert Dilworth born in North Gower or Portadown around 1826. He later dies in a logging accident in North Gower April 23, 1860 leaving 5 children under the age of 10 They are William, Anne, James (my great grand father), John and Charlotte. I have visited North Gower, a 2 day trip from my home, the path has gone cold as in the part of Canada they kept no vital stastistics (births, deaths, marriages) until the 1880s.

I appreciate any information any one can forward.

Wes Dilworth
