Sharon
The information I have been collecting on the Dils family shows minor differences, they are:
A) Adam Dils b. May 27, 1781 d. April 18, 1860
Source Dave Johnson dej@primus.ca
B)Anna Vaughn d. May 30, 1832
Source Dave Johnson dej@primus.ca
C) The 1881 census Province of Ontario .. District No. 144 Monck County S.District E1, Township of Wainfleet shows Daniel Marlatt, age 26, Diannah, age 26 and son John, age 3. My grandfather, John Daniel Marlatt was born in this area in 1877/78. I had believed the John identified in the 1881 census was my grandfather. However, your revelation that this John Marlatt married Almedia Adelaide Horton came as a surprise. I have limited information about my grandfather's life, so, it is possible that he was married prior to my grandmother Jessie Edna Dilts (whose father, John Dilts,is also a mystery), When they married in 1914 he was 37 and grandmother was 17. Can you shed some more light on Marlatt / Horton marriage?

Thanks
Larry Marlatt
