James, thank you for your post of the Dillon information.I guess that means that Austin Williams must have been in Benton Co, MO by 1841 or 1842.So the fact that Samuel & Austin knew each other means they may have been neighbors or close proximity in Benton Co, MO and not in Ohio.I have been unable to find Austin Williams in Ohio.Austin & Judith Dillon Williams are my direct line through their daughter Hester Elizabeth Williams who married William A Buckley.Austin and Judith homesteaded in Benton Co Mo.The interesting part is their homestead was a 90 acre tract in the middle of the Osage River.Austin died and Judith completed the homestead requirements. She must have been a strong woman because she had several minor children when Austin died.I tried to do some work on Judith's line through Thomas J last fall but seemed to run into conflicting info that did not make sense. My husband's Cole line supposedly came over on the Mayflower and his line ended up on OK by about 1900.
Would love to hear from another cousin.
