It turns out there WERE two Charles L. Dillmans! Matilda Dillman, d/o John W. and Lydia Rhorer Dillman, married George Michael Dillman from Kentucky (which, through DNA testing, we recently discovered that they were cousins). When Matilda died, George married Catherine Elizabeth "Eliza" Levering. They had Charles Lemuel Dillman.
Charles Lemuel Dillman married Catherine "Katie" Sterling and had Ernest Dillman b. 1885, and Emma R. Dillman. However, I believe that this same Charles Lemuel Dillman was the one that married Monte Belle Mobley and had Elbert (Cludius Burton) Dillman b. 1879. I'm still looking for info and descendants of Ernest and, now, Emma.
