John Dillman sold a piece of property in lower Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia July 1823.
I dont know his age or if he was married at that time.
My research of the Dillman family in Nova Scotia tells me that there was only one Jhon Dillman here at that time.
Could he have been in Maine by 1850?
His brothers son Lewis Dillman, went to Maine in 1866's and learned a stone cutting trade.
