Attempting to learn more about our DILLMAN's - Mary Elizabeth DILLMAN, born 8 Jan 1839 in Higginsport, Brown Co., OH to Samuel DILLMAN and his wife Sarah ________.
Samuel believed to have been born about 1800/02 in KY and married to Sarah ____ also born KY abt. 1810. Names of children found in family Bible: Martha J. DILLMAN b. 21 July 1835 OH - Charles W. DILLMAN b. January 1837 - our Mary Elizabeth DILLMAN b. 8 Jan 1839 - Jacobb K. DILLMAN b. 29 June 1841 - John T. DILLMAN b. 28 July 1843 - Samuel T. DILLMAN b. 14 March 1845 - James W. DILLMAN b. 7 July 1846 - Sarah L.B. DILLMAN b. 2 Dec 1849 [did she marry a Mr. CLAYTON?] - Nancy [looks like W.H.T. initials] DILLMAN b. 28 Dec 1849 and Caroline DILLMAN b. 7 Sept 1851.
By 1850 Samuel, his wife and at least some of the children were living in Lincoln Co., MO. Our Mary Elizabeth DILLMAN married Joseph Alexander STEPHENS on 8 Oct 1874 Troy, Lincoln Co., MO. [Joseph b. 8 Oct 1844 - d. 7 Sept 1918] Mary d. sometime after November of 1918, probably in Elsberry, Lincoln Co., MO where they had made their home.
Does anyone recognize this DILLMAN family from KY and Brown Co., OH?
