Thanks for the information, but my grandfather is certain that his father (George) was born in Kentucky. In addition, the birthdate appears to be pretty solid. Also, his wife's name was Cora -- however, George was 42 years old when he married Cora and, although there is no confirmation, our family has speculated that he may have been married before.
