Hi James I have seen the photos now. I am stil not clear where the name James A Dillingham came from and I note that reference is also being made to her mother being Mary A Hendricks (Hendrix). I know that a Solomon Hendricks appeared in one of the census returns (1850) but do not think a relationship was given. IF they married after 1840 then 'James' is unlikely to appear as head of a household. An estimated year of birth would be around 1820 and he may have died around 1846/7 with her second marriage occurring shortly after. Looks like the second husband needed to find a wife quickly to take care of a large family? Please feel free to use my email address for future communications.
