Hi! I'm 23 years old and I live in Central AL. I'm taking the first steps in researching my family tree and the history of my geneology, but I really have absolutely no idea how to get started! I don't really have a lot of information about my parents, but I have seen my paternal grandfather's tombstone: F L Dillingham. It is in a Talladega, AL cemetary. I think the F L is Frederick Lawrence. He would have died in the mid-to-late 60's here in AL. I know that he had ties with the Georgia Pacific company, and with former AL governer Jim Folsom. I've also heard that he rode a motorcycle inside of a round cage with teh circus. Obviously I am very interesting in learning everything that I can.
