There was no Henry County, Va until 1776. It was created from Pittsylvania County which, in turn, came from Halifax in 1766.
Vachel Dillingham married Hester Refroe in Halifax in 1765. In 1767, a tax list for Pittsylvania included "Veath" (Vachel ?), Joshua, John and William Dillingham, all listed separately.
So, before 1776, your research should be in Pittsylvania and maybe Halifax.
