We were excited to see a connection between the Dillingham family and Roof, as posted by
Sara Dillingham Sheldon on 1/15/00. Henry Clay Dillingham's father was Joseph R. Dillingham, married to Lucinda LaRue, whose stepfather's name was Roof. No dates given.
Obviously, our Joseph Dillingham Roof emerged somewhere around there. His dates: B.1863,KY. d. 1926, Weleetka OK. Married to Mary Ellen Van Meter, b.1865 Bowling Green, KY, D. 1935 in Weleetka, OK. Thanks for any help you can give us! Ray & Carla McDonald
