York Cnty SC Dillingham
Posted by: Renee' Gore Date: September 11, 1999 at 09:02:23

On the 1870 York Cnty SC Census a 15 yr old female first name starts out as Mar?? but unable to determine exact spelling living in the household with James Clark and wife Lavicia and two males Bruce Clark and Clayton Clark. Bruce Clark is my grandfather and James and Lavicia are my great grandparents. Robert Bruce Clark moved to Cherokee Cnty GA by 1880 where he was living with Lenny Wilson family. James Lewis Clark died in route to Cherokee Cnty GA Dec 16, 1882 and is buried in Cherokee Cnty GA. He was to be the foreman at a mill owned by the Wilson family. My question is who was this Dillingham female and how is she related if any relationship to this Clark family? I have hit a brick wall with my Clark line as I have no info on parents of James Lewis Clark nor have maiden name of his wife Lavicia/Lieuvice. Any help will be most appreicated. Renee' Gore
