I have come across some early Dilley Bent information that I will gladly share with those interested.
It starts with John Dilley of Faquier Co., Va. and goes to Washington Co., Oh. John's daughter Susan Dilley married Nahum Bent. Her sister Elizabeth married his brother, unfortunately, at this moment I can't remember which brother. However, both mem were sons of S\Col. Silas Bent who died in Belpre, Washington Co., Ohio on April 4, 1918. Silas was married to Mary Carter. I have more information on these if you are inerested. Anyway, William Bent, a descendant of Nahum and Susan (Dilley) Bent married first Owl Woman , daughter of Cheyenne chief; White Thunder, the group's medicine man.
William Bent ws a trader. He help start Fort Bent. William was associated also with Kit Carson.
I have sstories of Fort Bent and some of he other Bent family line descending down of Susan Dilley and Nathan.
