Hello Shiron,
I have been researching a Dilley family who *might* be linked somehow to your grandmother's family. Alfred Dilley married a Sarah Munt (around 1890ish) and had numerous children in North London. They lived in Islington for a while and then, by 1901, were living in the area where your Ellen Maria Dilley was born (regsiter district of Edmonton, I believe). For what it's worth, I have recently discovered that Alfred Dilley was born in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. I know nothing about his family apart from that he had a younger brother named George Bertie Dilley who came to live with him for a while in London. I know it's a long shot but my research is littered with deadends! Love to know if you can shed any light...
