I am tracing the DILLEY line from William DILLEY born around 1822 at Old Warden in Beds. I know he was in the 96th Regiment as a Private soldier and came to Western Australia aboard a ship called the Java from Tasmania. Now whether he boarded the vessel in Tasmania, or more likely boarded in Adelaide where the 96th were involved in survey work, I don't know. Anyway I have information on his marriage to Ellen BOYT and the children they produced. One of those children, Emma DILLEY, married a convict ancestor of my family (James TURNER). I would like to know more about William DILLEY, his parents, siblings etc. Can anyone help please? Kind regards Adrian Western Australia Notify Administrator about this message?
