Just getting back to the hobby after a few years brick-wall and frustration free.:>)
As it was explained to me Tueller/Thueller when spoken by a german-speaking person and heard by an english-listening person can be heard as Diller. Especially so if there is already a "Diller" in the area.
I believe Casper came from Germany and was in Pennsylvania a few decades before any of the Tuellers started to arrive. His name was supposed to have been the German Diller. It was certainly so with my line Frantz Tueller / Abraham / Abraham / Samuel / David / Fay / Dorothy / Me. (Or Frantz / Frantz / Francis / Nancy / back to Samuel).
