Franz Ludwig was certainly his baptismal name - Franšois Louis is the French translation, and the version found in the parish registers at La Chaux-de-Fonds where most of his children were christened. "Esa´e" is the French version of Isaiah, which only seems to occur on his passport. I was trying to be helpful about the tern "ffeu" which seemed to have caused confusion in the past!
