Wow! I knew there was a reason that I asked that question about Zachary... No, I don't mean to say anything I just know what I found and what a few others found about John H Dillard I was at Alamo one day and saw a book on the genealogy of the men there That was first time i read about Will and sara then I saw it on a Dillard web site and I started putting out questions on this forum Its been a few years so I cannot recall just who and how many but there were at least a couple of folks who felt Will and Sara were John's parents but a couple or more felt the way I and one or two even sent me some copies of some of the court proceedings that verified what I had found... My g g grndmaother's husband, Geo W Martin, was even the executor of Zachary's estate in about 1813. Gloria I have found more than one "family pedigree" sent in to those on line genealogies that are "confused" I'm sure you have also but genealogy is really so trivial(but FUN) that it really doesn't matter. Anyway as to those Nicholas and George and Williams and Thomas Dillards WAY back there I've noticed some debates on this very forum that showeven the EXPERTS aren't always sure just who was where and when... Did you read the one about the guy with the French spelling of the name who came with or right after William the Conqueror? What a laugh that one turned out to be. THANKS again for the msgs and I don't really hope to get anything on Zachary's dad or his wife's surname but...maybe. THANKS again Oh! By the way, in my years of AMATEUR researching I have been wrong many times and if someone proves my family tradition and court records wrong.... great!!!!! john Notify Administrator about this message?
