UNFORTUNATELY, I am no longer much involved in genealogy so I cannot find my sources any more but in the early 1850s in TEXAS and in TENNESSEE there were two or three court cases concerning ALL the heirs of John H and a bro named Thomas who also received MANY acres of land in the Republic of TEXAS
As in most cases where someone inherits a BUNDLE of GOODIES EVERYONE claims kin and wants "their part"
Well, my great granny and her remaining bros and sisters jumped on the band wagon. I think it took awhile to settle but EVERYONE got something.
In all those records it was stated more than once thatZachary and Nancy Dillard were the parents of ALL the children .
