Marilyn, you have your information incorrect. Joseph Dillard who was born in 1775, was born in North Carolina. Yes, they did live in Scott County, Missouri in 1840. But, go to 1850 in Pope County, Arkansas and you will find them. He still had one son at home. Joseph M. Dillard was born in 1826 in Scott County, Missouri. He is my great, great grandfather. He was a physician in 1880 in Logan county, Arkansas. We are still trying to find who the elder Joseph Dillard's parents were. All we know was he was married to a Milly or Vermillion. There are a lot of Dillards. Especially Josephs.
