Looking for information on Dewitt Dillard, first wife Cora, then he married Ruth Shires. He and Cora may have seperated, or she may have died. They had children, John L. born about 1894, Dewey b. abt 1897 and Elgin b. about 1900. Elgin is listed as a daughter on 1900 census. He and Cora were married 19 Dec 1891 in Poplar Bluff. Her parents were John Keplar and Amanda "Mandy" Baumgardner Keplar.
Cannot find Dewitt on 1910 census, but in 1920 he is with Ruth, and none of the previous children can be found. He and Ruth had children, Tyrell b. abt 1913, Lyman abt 1915, Truman abt 1918 and Chester abt 1920. Found Chester had enlisted in WWII, married, but have no info on them.
Also, what newspaper would obituaries for these people be in, Chester died in Hayti, would that be Kennett or some other town?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
