According to local Hants County, Nova Scotia, historian Ralph B. Whitter, "Mungo Dill, along with two half-brothers, David and John, arrived in Nova Scotia from Ireland about 1770. David Dill (1735-1816) and Mungo Dill stayed in Nova Scotia. John Dill went to the Colonies."
