I am searching for my James Howard family that lived in Greenville Co. in the Glassy Mountain foothills and found a Susan Dill listed in the 1850 census living in Millford Howard household, age 18.
Thought someone might be looking for her and this would help. Anyone have these Howard's of Glassy mountain listed in their lines?
I have an article listing "Dill", as one of the early settlers of this area in 1750's.A map of Greenville area made in 1882 shows several Dill's along the Middle Tyger river. Mrs. Dill, G Dill, Ina Dill,and A. Dill properties listed. A Dill's land is next to the Glassy mountain Church and between C. Howard and W. G. Howard properties.
