Dave Butler,The information that I have on this family of Dills is this: Bartlett J. Dills born abt. 1769 in Rutherford Co. NC son of Thomas & Elizabeeth. Bartlett first marriage was to Susanna Henson daughter of Philip & Susanna (Biscoe) Henson. His second marr. was to Nellie PArris. Bartlett Dills & Susanna had nine children. Thomas ,John,Bartlett Jr., Peter,William Harrison,Sally, Philip,Henry,Polly. Now if I have the rightinformation William H Dill is my husband line.This William H. had 2 sons named John B. , John H., 2 daughters Anna, Malissa. Williams first wife was named Lydia,but haven't found a marriage cert., his second wife was named Susanna b. La. Lydia & her four grown children moved abt 1858. 1860 they was in Dade Co. Mo.Before they left to come to Mo. They lived in McMinn & Monroe Co. Tenn. Bartlett Dill gave the children of William in love and affection some land. I believe that after Bartlett died that is when the family moved to Mo.It was in the 1840 census in Monroe Co. that listed a Henry Dill pg. 171, Bartlett Dill pg. 171, Lydia pg. 155. This was the only three Dill family there. Do you know or have any information on this family ? I think this Bartlett is the same family but I can't fine a Levi. Now are you a descentant to this William Dill son of this Cherokee ? Hope to hear from you.
