This is the family line on my paternal grandmothers side. She has given me the following information about my direct lineage via a cousin of hers: 1.Thomas Dills, Sr. (ca.1740-1782) was the son of Peter and Ann Dills. (Peter was believed to have born ca.1720.) Elizabeth Cuzine (ca.1740-1818) was the wife of Thomas. 2. Their son Barlett Dills, Sr.(b.ca.1770) married a Henson. Her name is unknown, but her parents were Philip Henson and Susannah Briscoe.(no dates) 3. Two of Barlett's sons were Levi and Henry (1809-1893) m. Susan Stratton (1813-1885) (She later remarried to a Furr). Here's an interesting story. Family word of mouth has it that Levi came home to find his wife (name unknown) in a "situation" with a Male Cherokee (name unknown). During the altercation Levi was killed and the Cherokee fled. Henry and the other brothers tracked him down, cut things off, and killed him. Meanwhile, Levi's widow is carrying the dead Cherokee's child. 4. Among Henry's children is Rev.John Ramzey Dills (1854-1922). If his line is at all important to you let me know. The child born to Levi's widow was William Dills, but known as Black Tom. Black Tom's granddaughter married John's son. These were my great grandparents, but they were not related due to the circumstances of story above. I don't know how much further into my particular line you are interested in, but I hope that some of this information has been helpful. Please respond if you have anysight, or retractions bout the info I have.
