John Dill, b. abt. 1853; 1st marriage about 1869 to Mary Snow. John died in DeRidder, LA; buried at Mixon,TX, where wife Mary Snow is buried. They had 7 children: James F., b. 2-3-1870, d. 7-11, 1932; Idell, Jeffie Lou, Annie, Jane, Roy, and Robert Lee "Cap" Dill, b. 9-29-1878, d. 11-12-1938. John left 1st family in Bullard, TX and married Bessie Elizabeth Killian in Louisiana. They had 5 children: Josie, Lelia, Bulah, John Madison b. 12-20-1899, d. 8-15-1965, and Helen Dill b. 7-20-1913, living in 1964. John's father, William Abner Dill, married 5 times, first married Mary Barton. Their children: Francis, John (your John), Ann, Martha Matt, and Jim Dill. W.A. Dill then married a 2nd time (wife's name unknown), then a 3rd time to Rhoda Moore: 2 children: William Edmond Dill and James Abner Dill (my great grandfather). He then married a Hanks and had one child, Mary. The last marriage was to an unknown, but was very brief and there were no children.
