Hello Mary Lucinda,
Nice to hear from you. Per the marriage registration for Stanley Dill and Cora Burgess dated 4th November 1908 he was born about 1885 as his age is listed as 23 on Page 286 of Book 1805 (from the online NS vital records). Cora gives her age as 19 and her parents as Joseph (Ship Carpenter) and Elizabeth.
My wife, Jeanne Marie Sevigny (nee Wilcox) is the great granddaughter of Mary Lucinda Crowell, so you are closely related. Jeanne’s mother was Mary Elizabeth Wilcox (nee Dill) daughter of Edger Shand Dill and Mary Elizabeth Brownbill. Jeanne’s father was Thomas Henry Wilcox.
I have been able to obtain quite a bit of information on the ancestors of James William Dill and Mary Lucida Crowell and will reply with it tomorrow.
