Hi Nellie,

I finally had a chance to order that film and search through it, and unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any connection with your NJ Dills to my NJ Dills. So sad for me! Thanks so much for the tip though.

Also, for anyone interested, that same film has a folder of notes on some Philadelphia Dill's, some of whom moved south to Richmond.

Those aren't my Dills either of course!

My Dills were clearly in NJ at least by 1805 and they remained in the Camden / Philadelphia area for 140 years. They all had Scotch/Irish names like Wallace, William Wright, and James but have no connection to the Matthew Dill lines.
