Thanks Randy for the reply. I am descended from this branch. other Dill researchers have written to me regarding this line and I will have to research this a bit more on the documentation. There was a marriage recorded between Mary and Henry Dill, but he apparently did not live long enough to see the benefit of his child. Henry was in the militia and was a lawyer and once complained to the legislative body that he was not being paid for his services. Not much, if anything, is known about Henry. It is believed that he was a brother to John Dill of Donegal, Ireland. However, this is still yet to be proved and is not in the recently published Dill work. I have communicated with Brent Holcolm, a historian and genealogy lecturer from South Carolina, who is also a Dill descendant and he agrees that it is possible that the two lines are connected probably through John Dill.
