After much searching through records - I finally figured out that William had TWO wives, both named Mary, which answers many of my questions. I could never figure out why in census records "Mary’s" age and place of birth suddenly changed. Now it makes sense.
I am searching for information on the Dill family who lived in Greene and Clark counties in Ohio in the early 1800's. William Dill was born 20 Feb 1793 in Delaware, and married Mary "Polly" Heaton 10 May 1812 in Ohio. Their children were I believe to be
Isaac born abt. 1814 in Ohio
Harriet born 25 Aug 1815 in Xenia, Greene County, Ohio
Eleazer born 03 Dec 1827 in Rush County, Indiana
Rachel born 16 Aug 1829 in Rush County, Indiana
David born Abt. 1831 in Rush County, Indiana
Gideon born 03 Mar 1833 in Rush County, Indiana
Emma born Abt. 1837 in Rush County, Indiana
Jonah born Abt. 1838 in Rush County, Indiana
Matilda born Abt. 1838 in Rush County, Indiana
Mary HEATON, their mother, died 15 Jul 1843 in Rush County, Indiana - William DILL then remarried Mary HALL on 27 Apr 1845 in Rush County, Indiana
THEY had at least 4 more children:
Benjamin born 1846 in Rush County, Indiana
Solomon born 1848 in Rush County, Indiana
Theodore born 1850 in Rush County, Indiana
Asestis born 1851 in Rush County, Indiana
William Dill died 18 Mar 1859 in Rush County, and Mary Hall Dill died 12 Oct 1881also in Rush County. Any one have more infor on this family is greatly appreciated! I think that Williams father was Solomon Dill
