I did find a link between Ermilla Dill and Archibald Dill (Rev War patriot). The key aid came from John Dill. THANK YOU. Please see "Descendants of Archibald Dill" section on his website: htpp://www.ipa.net/~johndill/archarth/htm This shows Ermilla as daughter of Archibald, a son of Archibald (Patriot). The "orignial" information is shown on: Jackson County, TN Chancery Court Minutes, Pages 338 & 339, Microfilm Roll #1, Volume A. Copies can be obtained from the Tennessee State Archives, Nashville, TN. A transcription is available titled "Jackson County, TN Chancery Court Minutes, 1840-1861", published in 1993, abstracted, transscribed by Betty Huff Bryant. Published by Byrin Sistler & Associates, Pages 34, 40, 41. This "reference" book is available in several libraries in TN, including Putnam & Jackson Ctys & at State Archives. The DAR recognizes (as of 2004) Archibald as a Patriot with an individual's application, National number 824980. My wife is submitting as a descendant through Ermilla and John Loftis. Will update when her record number is available. If questions, email: David davidjoycehammett@yahoo.com Notify Administrator about this message?
