I am researching John Summers (Somers, Sumers)family lines. He was married to Margaret Dill, born about 1780 in North Carolina. Margaret was the daughter of Archibald Dill. John and Margaret are listed on a 1850 Jackson County, Tennessee census:
John Sumers, age 68, North Carolina
Margaret Dill Sumers, age 70, North Carolina
John Somers was the son of Capt. John Somers.
