This is the closest I've been in My search for "Dill's" My ggrandfather was ALFRED SPIDELL b.abt1850. He is listed in the 1880 census of Polk County, Mo. as the sil of William W. Dills of S.C. Mr. Dill's wife was listed as "Susannah" age
60..but I found the 1870 census showing that there was a daughter named Susanna A.. From the census I take it that Susanna A. died giving birth to my grandfather, John D. Spidell b. 29, February 1880.
Could we be searching for the same person? Am I any closer to finding W. Dill and unraveling this puzzle?? Susannah was born in La. I'm hoping this will all come together. I also need to track my "elusive family,". I'll exchange info gladly.
ANY help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance.
