Ellis,Here is the information that I have been able to find on that family.I researched them several years ago because they were living as neighbors to "my" John Sutton Dill in Sebastian County, AR.
Malinda Dill was born 22 Oct 1849 in Walker County, AL. She married "Jack" Dill. She died 22 May 1945 in Fayetteville, Washington County, AR. and is buried in Combs Chapel Cemetery there. Her son William Ezekial Dill was born 5 Jun 1883 Montreal, AR (in or near Sugarloaf twp, Sebastian County, AR).He married Ola Puckett at McAlister, OK on 30 Dec 1909. He died 6 May 1955 and is also buried in "Combs".I have six children for his family:Arvil, Gene, Forrest, Faye Harper, Gladys Atkinson, and J. W. Dill.
The above information is from a series of obits from Washington County Arkansas newspapers, filed in the Washington County, AR library,Malinda's obit says she moved to Washington County, AR from Hartford (Seb.Co.) in 1932. William Ezekial's obit. names his father.
I have an unidentifed DILL buried in Coop Prairie Cemetery at Mansfield, AR who MIGHT also be a son of Jack and Malinda.
When I discussed this family with Gilbert Dill in 1994, he was pretty sure that Malinda might be Malinda A. Goodwin, daughter of William H. Goodwin. and that "Jack" was one of two possible John Dill's from Walker County.
