Diggs Family Genealogy Forum

I obtained an electronic copy of the will through the UK National Archives website. It is rather short and does not as far as I can tell, state the names of the 8 surviving children. It mentions a cousin Dudley Digges and is dated 28 Aug 1669. I am not quite sure if I understand the time line. The will is written as if the testator was in England bound for Virginia in 1669. At some point the will was proved in court I assume London, England the 16 June 1675 by by oath of William Diggs, and a copy was certified the 15 May 1685. I suppose the William referred to would be his eldest son Colonel William Digges of Prince Georges County, Maryland. I descend from Edward Digges, through the following Digges trace: William-William-Ignatius-Mary-Thomas Lee, etc. I am trying to establish the immediate ancestry of Edward Digges wife Elizabeth Page. Some sources indicate that she is the daughter of a captain Francis Page who died in Bedfont, Middlesex,England in 1678 and Isabel Wyatt. Other sources indicate she is granddaughter to John Page and Isabel Wyatt and daughter of Francis Page. For some reason Isabel Wyatt is usually listed as her mother, yet in other places also listed as her grandmother. In other sources, Isabel Wyatt is listed as daughter to George Wyatt. I would appreciate any help in clarifying these points.
