Not related--just passing along a tidbit I found. There was a William Diggs, age 42, who arrived at the Castle Garden Port in NY on 19 July 1834. That means he was born 1792-93. Ship arrived from Liverpool and manifest stated that William's place of Origin was Great Britain.
Maybe your William? Sorry but I wasn't looking for a twin or any other's of same surname so don't know if they were on same ship.
