With all due respect to Mr. Blair and with apologies to professional and amateur genealogists; I submit my humble opinion. Despite not being named in Elizabeth's will, I contend that Catherine Digges was alive and well in 1691. She was in fact the 2nd wife of William Herndon and they had 5 sons. She is now resting peacefully (I hope) in present day Caroline County. If this proves to be incorrect, I know one "expert" who will sadly have to begin looking for his 8th great grandmother...not to mention withdrawing his research documents from Virginia and 7 other states to be corrected. Death is certainly a good reason for being excluded from a will...but not the only one. Maybe Elizabeth didn't like her new son in law. Notify Administrator about this message?
